Galveston Spring Migration 2027

Apr 21–25, 2027 5 Days · 4 Nights Limited Availability Small Group

Peak Migration on the Texas Coast

Every April, millions of Neotropical migrants make landfall along the upper Texas coast after crossing the Gulf of Mexico — and Galveston Island sits right in their path. The result is one of the most spectacular birding events in North America, with exhausted warblers, tanagers, buntings, and thrushes dripping from the oaks at famous coastal migrant traps.

This five-day tour is timed to the peak of spring passage. You'll work the legendary fallout spots of High Island, Galveston's beachfront and marshes, and Bolivar Peninsula, with a local guide who knows exactly where the birds concentrate. When conditions align, a single morning can produce dozens of warbler species in a single tree.
